What can you really hear? Where can you actually find total quiet? Personally I love meditating outside in my garden. People arrive at my house and always comment on the peace and quiet, idyllic surroundings as we are off the beaten track. I love where we live having nature as our neighbours, but they are far from quiet.
When I meditate in my garden, the birds tweeting, the sheep bleating, cows mooing, insects buzzing, a delightful sound no doubt, but not quiet not hush and peace we might think.
Inside the house even with no TV or music on there is a buzz of electrical appliances, (have you ever noticed how really silent it is when there is a power cut), ticking of clocks and of course the sounds of the outside coming in. I am sure the pigeon knows when I am meditating as he makes his โcoo coo cooโ noise down my chimney without fail.
But it is wonderful to hear and I am grateful of the ability to hear these wonderful sounds, especially one of my personal favourites my children laughing.
When we want to develop our skills in communication with โThe Upstairsโ clairaudience is a useful gift to have. This can be hearing with our ears just like we hear everything else or it may be just hearing in our head. Strange I know but when you get to grips with it you will understand.
Maybe you already hear someone shout your name, but you know you are home alone! Maybe you get a buzz in one of your ears, or hear music when no one is playing any.
I am lucky enough to have what I call โall the Clairsโ. Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, Clairsentence, and Claircogninaze.
I am told clairaudience is the hardest gift to develop. If you would like develop it allow yourself some time each day to really listen,ย it doesn’t matter where you are but just sit quietly and listen to all the sounds you would not normally hear. You will be surprised how much in day to day life we miss. Which is why when we want to develop ourselves and communicate with โThe Upstairsโ we need to slow down and take notice of the signs they are giving us and what is really going on.
Of course life will always get in the way if we allow it to, but a few minutes each day just really listening may well help you hear the messages that โThe Upstairsโ really want you to hear.
