Criticism Or Gratitude
I recently came into contact with someone that reminded me of the old me. The old me was a moaner, I grumbled my way through life. Expecting the worse and often getting it. Wondering when my turn to get lucky would ever happen.
I criticised myself, others, the world we are in, always had something to be negative about. My default setting was negative. Even if something good happened I would be wondering when it would end.
Back then life was hard and no wonder as that was what I was expecting. Even the simple things turned into an issue.
I wanted to change and it took a long time to work out how to make it happen. I had to stop criticising everything and start being grateful.
I had to appreciate everything I had. I had to turn my negativity around. At first, it wasn’t easy to change the habits of a lifetime, but slowly and surely when I caught myself being negative and criticising things in myself and others I instead looked for the positive.
Now don’t think I never drop back into that mindset, I do, but when I do I am fast to pull it around into the positive way of life. To find gratitude in a situation. When it’s raining I think “At least we don’t have to water the plants.” When something goes wrong I choose to think “It will all work out for me.” When I am running late I think “What is this saving me from?”
Doing tweaks like this makes a huge difference to what you manifest. It means you start attracting more good stuff not bad. Everything starts on the inside first. So next time you hear yourself moaning or being critical of yourself or others try and find the positive in it. We can always choose how we feel about any situation.
