People often ask me how to spiritually develop?  It is a huge question to be honest one which has many parts.  However, one of the things that was a huge influence for me was my Nana. She lived with us when we were growing up and used to come into my room at bedtime and we had some incredible conversations.

It was magical just being in her energy, even in the last few years visiting her in her care home as she had dementia.  It was great just to be with her.  I feel very blessed to have her in my life.

She taught me so much; most of all that life is eternal.  She proved it to me when she eventually passed.  In her last few hours of life I was able to tell her what she told me that her loved ones would come through.

Her passing actually happened through the night, as soon as the phone went I knew the news I was going to hear and the grief hit me like a psychical pain in my chest.  I was sobbing and beside myself in self-pity.  She was at peace but I honestly didn’t know how I was going to cope without her, who would help understand that there is more to life than what I can see.

Just as she never let me down in life, she didn’t let me down then either.  I sat curled up with a cuppa, pen and paper in an effort to gain control of my emotions I thought I would write a list of all I loved about her and all I was going to miss.

Through the tears I could quite believe what I was seeing as it was not really my normal style of writing and it was nothing like a list I thought I was going to write! In fact it was a word perfect poem all about my Nana.

Feeling totally perplexed and went back to bed and when I was asked to speak at her funeral it was that poem I read out.

I have come to realise it was my first experience of automatic writing and since then I have had hundreds of experiences of this.  All my Angel Cards, programmes , meditations and courses have happened the same way.

It wasn’t just our time together that Nana sparked my interest in spiritual matters but also at family get togethers.  Christmas especially when all the family got together and games were played.  At the time as a child I had no idea of the relevance of them and how they were developing my abilities without me even knowing.
